In brief…
I’m a San Francisco-based educator and theatre artist.
Over the past two decades I’ve taught arts and humanities at the secondary and post-secondary levels and collaborated with arts and humanities organizations throughout the Bay Area.
I’m on the faculty at the Ruth Asawa School of the Arts in San Francisco and director (soon to be emeritus) of the Theatre Department. I spent almost a decade at Oakland School for the Arts, where as Artistic Director I led one of the region's most innovative pre-professional programs in the design and performing arts.
I remain a classroom teacher in the arts and humanities, a role that I’m honored to have and that’s still my favorite.
As a theatre artist for the past two decades, my work as a writer, director and actor has been seen throughout the Bay Area. I’m honored to be an advocate for new work and for connecting communities to live performance. I recently had the pleasure of co-producing the regional premiere of Young Jean Lee’s play CHURCH and public programming in support of Jimmy Lopez’s oratorio DREAMER.
I’ve recently returned to acting and will appear Karen Zacarias’ The Book Club Play at Ross Valley Players in May/June 2024.
I’m proud to be a member of the LGBTQIA+ community and to represent my community as a theatre artist and educator.
Thank you for visiting.
